- 2019-2020 Tentative Budget: The Board approves adoption of the 2019-2020 tentative budget using the state aid; use of healthcare adjustment of $135,513 to cover additional healthcare expenses and banked cap of $55,170 to achieve instructional goals; submission of the tentative budget to the Executive County Superintendent of Schools, in accordance with N.J.S.A.18A:7F-5 and 18A:7F-6; to advertise the tentative budget in The Citizen newspaper; and to hold a public hearing at the regularly scheduled meeting on April 29, 2019, at the Board Annex, 436 Lathrop Avenue, Boonton, NJ.

- Professional Services: The Board approves the following maximum dollar limits for professional services and public relations, as defined in N.J.A.C. 6A:23A-9.3(c)14, for the 2019-2020 school year; the School Business Administrator to track and record these costs to ensure that the maximum amount is not exceeded; and, if the need arises, to adopt a dollar increase in the maximum amount through formal board actions.

- Maximum Travel Budget: The Board approves establishing the maximum travel expenditure amount of $65,000, as defined in N.J.A.C. 6A:23A-7.1 et seq., for the 2019-2020 school year, pursuant to N.J.A.C. 6A:23A-7.3.

During the course of the Board meeting, the Boonton Board of Education offers members of the public the opportunity to address issues regarding the operation of the Boonton Public Schools. The Board reminds those individual who take this opportunity to identify themselves by name and address and to limit their comments to items listed on the agenda and/or items directly related to the School District.
Issues raised by members of the public may or may not be responded to by the Board. All comments, however, will be considered and a response will be forthcoming if and when appropriate.
The Board asks that members of the public be courteous and mindful of the rights of other individuals when speaking. Specifically, comments regarding students and employees of the Board are discouraged and will not be responded to by the Board as students and employees have specific legal rights afforded by the laws of New Jersey.
